| The new Samsung Epic 4G (Sprint) is an Android-powered phone that has 4G wireless connectivity. However, this phone can still connect to 3G data services in areas not currently served by 4G network. It comes in a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display (480 x 800 pixels, 16 million color depth) that provides brighter, thinner, and higher-resolution than conventional screens. With the Epic 4G's features like side-sliding full QWERTY keyboard as well as the virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, Samsung made messaging simple and easy as it allows making input text faster and in a more spontaneous way with one continuous finger motion across the screen keyboard. It is powered by 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor that speeds up playing games, watching shows and opening files from work.
The phone runs on Sprint’s new and expanding 4G network that offers synchronized voice and data connectivity and downloads speeds at the rate of up to 10 times faster than 3G. It also features Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g/n) for easy access to home and corporate networks as well as hotspots. The Epic 4G also allows up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices through its built-in mobile hotspot functionality. Powered by Android 2.1 operating system, the Epic 4G also features one-touch access to Google mobile services including Google Search by Voice, YouTube and Picasa. It is also equipped with a 5-MP camera with HD video recording (720p), a front-facing VGA camera for video chats, 16 GB microSD card expandable up to 32 GB and Bluetooth stereo music. Epic 4G is capable of Instant messaging using popular services like Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger. It features Visual Voicemail that provides quick and easy access to the messages you want to listen to by letting you go directly to a specific message, without needing to listen to or skip past previous messages.
