PowerShot SX30 IS

Canon introduces its first high-powered 35x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom (24-840mm) with Optical Image Stabilizer that reduces camera shake to achieve amazing images, the PowerShot SX30 IS. This point-and-shoot digital camera is equipped with a huge 35x Wide-Angle (24-840mm) Optical Zoom lens, a first for any PowerShot line, with a focal length of 4.3 - 150.5mm (35mm equivalent: 24 - 840mm) that enables you to shoot any scene from wide-angle to telephoto. It utilizes a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) for high-speed, quiet and energy-efficient lens movement with accurate control. The camera features Dynamic mode that allows users to use the Optical Image Stabilizer while shooting video in the wide-angle setting. Also, the Optical Zoom is now made available while shooting video which is likewise a first for any of the Canon PowerShot SX digital cameras. The Dynamic Image Stabilizer automatically operates the moment you start recording video without the need of making any additional camera adjustments.

The PowerShot SX30 IS enables recording video in brilliant high definition (1280 x 720 pixels) and with a mini-HDMI connector for direct connection to a high-definition TV monitor, the camera likewise makes it easy to view HD videos and still photos on the HDTV. It has also the ability to display up to 130 still images at once. PowerShot SX30 features Zoom Framing Assist function that enables the camera to automatically zoom out to a wider focal point, allowing you to look for your elusive subject. It is also equipped with an advanced Smart AUTO that intelligently analyzes your situation and shooting conditions and in turn automatically selects an appropriate setting from 28 specially defined settings. Likewise, it comes with DIGIC 4 Image Processor, a 2.7-inch Vari-angle LCD and 14.1 Megapixels which makes it possible to create crisp, clear 13" x 19" posters. It now uses a rechargeable lithium-ion NB-7L battery.
