Nokia N8 smartphone debuts the new Symbian^3 operating system that offers a wealth of personalization features easily maneuvered through a simple flick, usability enhancements including single tap, multi-touch and support for gestures such as "pinch-to-zoom, and a faster and more responsive interface with new 2D and 3D graphics architecture that takes full advantage of hardware acceleration. It is a 3G-enabled smartphone that comes in a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen display (640 x 360 pixels, 16.7 million colors) and a 12-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. It is equipped with a huge 16 GB of internal memory (with memory expansion up to 32 GB via optional microSD cards). Its 12-megapixel sensor and Carl Zeiss optics enables you to capture great images as well as 720p high-definition video which can be added with music, images, text, and transitions before sharing them. Nokia N8 has Xenon flash to take high quality pictures even in low-light conditions.

It comes with an Ultra-fast Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g/n) for accessing home and corporate networks as well as hotspots while on the go. Also, the Nokia N8 offers access to local and global Web TV services that deliver TV programs, news, and entertainment. Nokia N8 features Dolby Digital Plus surround sound that offers a true home theater experience. It has an integrated assisted GPS (A-GPS) receiver with free Ovi Maps Navigation for voice-guided directions and free Ovi Mail service to keep track of your emails from your phone or computer. This smartphone also features a next-generation Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity that provides faster throughput while minimizing on power requirements. Nokia N8 is compatible with new Bluetooth 3.0-enabled devices as well as older Bluetooth-enabled peripherals such as headsets and printers. It has a built-in secondary camera on front for video calls (VGA, 640 x 480 pixels). It features a digital audio/video player with compatibility for MP3, WMA, and AAC/eAAC/eAAC+ audio formats, plus MP4, H.264, and 3GPP video formats and Flash Lite 4 streaming video.
