Kodak's Z18 pocket camcorder is an updated version to the Z16 yet smaller and maintains the original color design as the smaller and water-resistant ZX1. The Z18 pocket camcorder is a first for Kodak in shooting 1080p video. It is small enough to fit in the pocket. It weighs merely 3.9 oz (without batteries) and measures 2.4 × 4.5 × 0.9 in. The Z18 camcorder has the capacity to capture stunning HD video 1080p at 30fps and 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a state of the art integrated image stabilization enabling you to take sharper videos with less or no blur at all. It also allows you to take 5 MP, 16:9 widescreen HD still pictures. It also comes with a 2.5 inch display along with external microphone jacks for monitoring the sound while filming. It is equipped with built-in software that makes editing simple and allows easy sharing of videos or photos on Facebook or YouTube.
The Z18 pocket camcorder can accommodate up to 32 GB SD/SDHC cards and is capable of recording up to 10 hours of HD video (20 min per 1 GB at 720p HD at 30 fps). Recording can be done from a distance or play back on your TV with ease with its available remote control. Z18 comes with a convenient USB arm for uploading and sharing of videos and even for recharging. It comes bundled with an HDMI cable in order to connect to HDTV for viewing footage. This pocket camcorder is compatible with any PC and MAC operating systems. It is likewise compatible with iTunes for syncing with Apple TV, iPhone and iPod Devices. It is equipped with a KODAK Li-Ion rechargeable digital camera battery KLIC-7004 and AC adapter and cable.
