Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera


One of the most advanced fixed lens cameras on the market is the Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.8 inch Vari-Angle LCD. It belongs to a class of digital cameras that specialize in fixed lenses, advanced manual controls, and larger imaging sensors compared to point-and-shoot compacts. The Canon PowerShot G12 offers an optical viewfinder with dioptric adjuster and a 2.8-inch foldout swivel LCD with a 461,000-pixel display. It is equipped with Canon's Hybrid Optical Image Stabilization technology that automatically spots and corrects camera shake that even when zoomed in, a steady, crisp, brilliant images can be captured. The Canon PowerShot G12 is also equipped with DIGIC 4 Image Processor that provides faster and more accurate noise reduction to deliver better image quality.

It features Digital Level meter which monitors the holding of the camera at a level position. It has a Self-Timer mode that works in conjunction with the front Control dial that allows you to customize up to 30 seconds and 10 consecutive shots. It has a Neutral Density filter that allows selecting wider apertures and slower shutter speeds in most lighting. Canon PowerShot G12 is packed with new scene modes like Super Vivid, Posterize, HDR, and Nostalgic modes. Nostalgic alters the saturation of the image through the front Control dial in real time while HDR can take three images at different exposures and blends them together. The Super Vivid and Posterize can even be used in HDR mode. The device is capable to capture 720p, 24fps HD video in stereo sound. Also, it can capture images and video to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card and HC MMC Plus Card. Canon PowerShot G12 has the ability to shoot multiple aspect ratios including 4:3, 16:9, 3:2, 1:1, and 4:5.
