Archos 9 PC Tablet Computer


The Archos 9 PC Tablet computer is a tablet form notebook. It combines the power of a desktop and the portability of netbook. It measures 10.1 in W, 5.4in D, 0.7 in H and weighs only 1.8lbs. It comes in an 8.9-inch LED-backlit resistive touchscreen display (1024 x 600 pixels) with a virtual keyboard, Optical finger navigation system (trackpoint) as well as integrated left and right mouse buttons. The Archos 9 PC tablet is equipped with a latest processor 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z515 CPU (400 MHz front-side bus speed, 512 KB L2 cache, 2W maximum power consumption) that ensures fast performance, a massive 60 GB hard drive and 1 GB of installed DDR2 RAM (400 MHz). Also, it is provided with Integrated Intel GMA 500 graphics.

This PC Tablet computer also comes with a built—in kickstand for hands—free viewing of HD videos. The angle of this kickstand may be lowered for purposes of typing emails and surfing the web. For easy connections anywhere, it is provided with a built-in Wi-Fi internet connection for access to email or surfing the Web anywhere with a wireless internet connection. It can even be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth and browse the Web even without a Wi-Fi signal. Archos 9 also comes with one USB 2.0 port with additional two USB ports via optional port replicator for external hard drives, printers and other devices connections. It has a Flash 9 video support for streaming 1080p high definition videos to a television from YouTube. Archos 9 PC Tablet is powered by Microsoft Windows 7 Starter and is preloaded with Microsoft Security Essentials (antivirus/antispyware) that provides real-time protection against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software; Lotus Symphony (office productivity) for creating and editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations; vTuner (Web TV and radio player) that provides access to over 11,000 radio and TV stations broadcasting over the Internet; and Windows Live. It has an integrated 1.3 mega pixels camera that can be utilized to set up video conferences or chat with friends and 1 Li polymer battery which lasts up to 5hrs.
