|Light Blue Optics (LBO) introduces its first product, the Light Touch™ which is an interactive projector that turns any flat surface into a 10″ touch screen. It enables the user to control the projector and interact with its multimedia content as well as applications by just touching the projected image in like manner as the other hand-held devices that use touch technology. It has a built-in infra-red touch sensing system that detects motion and transforms the projected image into a virtual 10″ touch screen. This interactive projector integrates Light Blue Optic’s proprietary holographic laser projection technology (HLP™) that creates vivid and premium WVGA resolution video images that are always in focus. The holographic laser protection technology enables very wide throw angles producing large images being created at close proximity to the projector’s aperture. HLP™ also enables novel table-top projection by correcting distortion and optical aberrations in software.
It comes in a unique optical architecture that delivers a Class 1 laser safety classification that renders HLP™ and devices that incorporate it as eye safe. Light Touch™ runs Adobe Flash Lite 3.1 and Windows CE operating system. Its connectivity options include WiFi and Bluetooth for device to device communication and applications that connect directly to the internet such as social networking, multimedia sharing and electronic point of sale. It is integrated with a 2GB Flash memory and has a Micro SD card slot that supports up to 32GB. Light Touch™ can be wall powered or battery operated with a life of 2 hours before recharging is required. Light Touch Projector measures 98 x 35 x 165 mm and weighs 400g. It is workable under 5 to 35oC.
