Apple Computer introduces Apple TV with 160GB Hard Drive - MB189LL/A. It is their newest technology that could give instant access to a wide array of entertainment from HD movies, HD TV shows and HD podcasts. With Apple TV, watching HD movies delivers a theater-like Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Rented standard definition movies can even be made an enduring piece of one’s digital collection. It can even play iTunes that syncs wirelessly to your TV. Synchronization of songs and videos on Apple TV to computer and iPod or iPhone is likewise made possible. Photos which are just confined in computers and even videos from YouTube can now be enjoyed through widescreen TV in dramatic high definition using the Apple TV.

Apple TV features a 160GB hard drive for local storage, it has an HDMI port, a component video, an optical audio, analog RCA stereo audio, 10/100BASE-T Ethernet, USB 2.0, and 802.11n wireless networking. Its appearance is just like any other Apple products. However, Apple TV is slender and sexy and has the appearance of a thinner version of a MacMini but a much wider and longer than the latter and the AirPort Extreme base station as it measures 7.7 by 7.7 x 1.1 inches (WxDxH). In order that Apple TV will work well, its system requires a Mac (running Mac OS X 10.3.9 or 10.4.9 or later) or PC (running Windows XP Home or Professional (SP2) or Vista), iTunes 7.6 or later (iTunes 8.0.1 however is recommended), and either an Airport Extreme, Wi-Fi 802.11b, 802.11g or 802.11n wireless network (wireless video streaming requires 802.11g or 802.11n) or 10/100BASE-T Ethernet network. To run the Apple TV, Apple Computer uses an Intel based processor and 30GB hard drive.
