|ASUS launches part of its Eee-series of Netbooks, the Eee PC 1215N. The ASUS Eee PC 1215N comes in 12.1-inch, 16:9 HD LED-backlit glare-type display with 1366×768 resolution for ultimate multimedia enjoyment. It is equipped with Intel Dual Core Atom D525 (1.8GHz), next generation Nvidia ION 2 graphics processor with 512mb dedicated video memory, Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System (32 Bit) and NVIDIA Optimus technology to deliver a netbook with optimum multimedia performance capacities. The NVIDIA Optimus technology intelligently toggles between integrated and discrete graphics to give the best possible graphics solution required, thus, extending battery life in the process. Also, it comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM (2x1GB), 4GB max and 250 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM). In addition to that, a 500 gigabytes of online storage which is free of charge is offered by ASUS to its Netbook customers.
ASUS Eee PC 1215N is also equipped with a 0.3 MP webcam with a resolution that is capable of full high-definition which is very rare among netbooks. The web-camera comes with a shutter that protects it when it is not in use. It has also an HDMI port for handy streaming of HD video to an HDTV. With its proprietary Optimus technology, the processor shuts down/activates when they are not in use in order to conserve battery life. Its Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 10/100 LAN feature is backwards-compatible. Also, ASUS Eee PC 1215N has the capability to charge a cell phone even when the netbook is switched off. It is so portable that it measures only 11.6 x 8 x 1.5 inches and weighs merely 3.2 pounds. Its battery life lasts around five to six hours.
